Henry F. Smith Jr., MD is a native of the Pocono region of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of the University of Scranton, and Jefferson Medical College. He finished post–graduate training at both the University of Rochester, NY. and Temple University, in Philadelphia. He currently practices Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in Wilkes-Barre. Pennsylvania.
He first visited the Adirondacks in 1991 and began a love affair with the region. Henry, with his wife and two children, split their time between Glen Summit, PA, and Lake Placid, NY.
Dr Smith specializes in landscape photography of the Eastern Forest, concentrating on Pennsylvania, New England, and Adirondack region. His work has been displayed in multiple galleries in the Northeastern United States. It has been featured in Publications by regional and National environmental organizations.
